This technique will be part of my embossing, engraving, and sgraffito class at the bead and glass expo. It's really all about adding texture and design your work.

  

I have so much fun making these. The top one is a color mix (we will do this in class!). The last one  is over cooked white enamel. The back was so beautiful I had to show that too!! Love, love, love them!

Today was a great studio day! On the list of things that make me happy, enameling is at the top. It gives me my color rush and instant gratification!

 

I love adding texture and color to pieces. this is a 2" round pendant. Mixing techniques is fun and adds some dimension.

  

Again I am mixing it up. This one is 1 1/2" and has s'graffito and texture. These are super fun!

I have finally been able to get back to my studio a little and work on that big dream of mine! It's a little more difficult to get into gear than I thought. My mind is still wrapped around other things. Last time I went through this, I sat down and began to journal and didn't take a breather for a year. It was fantastic!! I don't have time for that this time around, but good things are happening! I am back to my blog and my facebook page which is awesome!

Here is what I have been working on:

Soldered Pendant Classes beginning this week!

More Classes offered through Parks and Recreation

Here are some examples of soldered pendants which are simple and fun to make! We begin soldering a simple square pendant, then move on to more difficult objects. Plus I will show you how to add texture and design into the solder as an embellishment as well as showing you how to make your own beautiful charms out of solder. 

This class runs through Silver Springs Rec Center and begins again this Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. Super affordable! Learn a new, beautiful craft and get ready for Christmas! Join us for the fun!

Fused Glass Pendants

 This is a small example of the glass pendants that can be made by fusing. The possibilities are limitless! These are simple and fun and seeing the finished pendant is always a surprise!

I will teach you:

• which glass you can fuse together and which you cannot. 
• how to cut glass
• things you can add to glass to add effects and beauty
• ways to hang your pendants
• how to drill glass
• how to write a message on glass
• and so very much more!

 I have tried many crafts throughout my life and glass is one I have stuck with. It is so beautiful and exciting to see the glass change and form in both expected and unexpected ways!
